In the "The Black Adder", we see this Baldrick as being the only Baldrick that could actually be described as clever. He is shown to be even cleverer than his master, as he comes up with better solutions for Prince Edmund's problems. He at one point in the series, claims to have worked as a dung shoveler before working for Prince Edmund. He first met Prince Edmund and his companion Lord Percy Percy, Duke of Northumberland at the feast before the Battle of Bosworth Field. The three then toasted to their new friendship.
